I’ve taken this opportunity to update survey which I did in 2024 with an aerial survey using Google Earth. This is merely to help the case go forward for the restoration of the railway line.
Here is a survey made in 2024 of the existing route of the Lewes to Uckfield railway line from Hamsey to Isfield. This video is merely a survey of the existing disused railway line between Lewes and Uckfield – it is not intended as a proposal for the alignment of a new railway.
